Fulfills "a - g" requirement.
Prerequisites: 375 or above on CST ELA, B or better in Basic English, C or better in high cluster Language Arts and/or teacher recommendation. This is a year-long class designed to prepare students for the rigors of Advanced Placement courses. The class focuses on academic writing, literary analysis, critical thinking, and active participation. This course is a pre-cursor to Sophomore English Honors.
