CLASS OF 2019…EL RANCHO HONOR CREST AWARD…..In order to provide additional recognition for those students who have a record of academic excellence throughout the first seven (7) semesters in their high school career, El Rancho High School has established the award of the EL RANCHO HONOR CREST AWARD. This award shall be affixed to the diplomas of such students. To receive this award, students must be on track to fulfill the A-G criteria and have earned 3.333 grade point average or above for all course work from 9th grade through the end
of the first semester in 12th grade.

In an effort to improve the attendance at El Rancho High School, the administration team has been working to put together a comprehensive plan that will ensure student success. The following is what we have come up with and will be effective immediately:

-Opened six school gates in the morning and at dismissal

-Created lanes for the front of school drop off gates and side gates

-Held expectations assemblies with all students in the main gym

-Have encouraged teachers to stand at their doors to “meet and greet” students and/or motivate students to move quickly to their class

-Reinstated the “Banned” list to keep students who have six (6) or more full day absences (starting August 2018) from participating in extracurricular activities. Request for guest passes for ERHS events or other high school events will also be denied if you are on the Banned List.

To Clear Full day Absences students will need to do the following: -Attend Saturday School (4 hours) = 1 Truancy/Full day Unexcused absence. To attend Saturday School, report to the ERHS Cafeteria from 8am-12pm. -The Banned-List will be updated every Wednesday, by 3:30pm. The banned-list is located on the El Rancho Don Page, under the Activities tab, and will be updated every Wednesday, by 3:30pm

Thank you, and we hope you enjoy the rest of your evening. GO DONS!
