Frosh/Soph Powder Puff Flag Football game will be on  5/31 at 7 pm…….Students must be athletically cleared to participate. Students will purchase a jersey and sell 5 $5 tickets. There will be 2 practice opportunities prior to the game. 

 

MOTHER/DAUGHTER TEA IN PARIS…Will be on FRIDAY, April 20 at 6:00 pm in the ER Cafeteria. Price is $10.00 per person.  Price includes a delicious dessert, beverages, door prizes, entertainment and much more.  Tickets on SALE NOW.  Purchase from the Activities Office…limited amount of tickets available.  Photographer will be there for a nominal fee.  Dress in your favorite Paris attire.  Prizes will be awarded for Best Mom and Daughter matching outfits…Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime event.  LAST DAY TO PURCHASE TICKETS IS APRIL 18.

 

Junior/Senior Prom “Grecian Nights”… will be held at Sirona’s at Santa Anita Race Track Saturday, May 12, 2018. This contract must be filled out completely by each ER student and returned to the Cashier’s Office at the time of ticket purchase. Read all information carefully. STUDENT PRICING Purchase Dates With ASB w/out ASB Guest/Non ER student April 16-20 $80 $85 $90 April 23-27 $85 $90 $95 *April 30-SOLD OUT $90 $95 $100 *If available, tickets will be sold until Friday, May 4. Pricing includes: Admission, DJ, dance, food & beverage. LAST DAY FOR GUEST PASS APPROVAL IS FRIDAY, APRIL 27.

 

BLOOD DRIVE…Dons we having a blood drive on April 19th in the new gym.  If you are 16 or 17 years old you must have a waiver signed by your parents.  Seniors you must donate 3 times during your senior year to earn a red cord.  Stop by Q-2 or Y-3 to sign up.

 

PLEASE SUPPORT OUR HOMELESS DRIVE….Taking place during 3rd period from April 9th to 20th.  The class to donate the most items will win an ice cream party.  See your 3rd period teacher for more information.

 

Attention Dons,  this summer ROP will be offering 2 classes here on campus Medical Core and Intro to Culinary Arts. ROP will also be offering Administration of Justice, Graphic Design and Sports Medicine at other campuses. If you are interested in any of these classes please see Mrs. Cuevas in the library on the second floor for more information.

 

Are you interested in becoming an El Rancho Pepster? Tryouts are coming up and there is a mandatory parent information meeting on Wednesday, April 18th at 6pm in the ERHS Cafeteria. See you there! Go Dons!

ATTENTION STUDENTS…If you did not take a ID Pic you may do so every Monday,  Wednesday and Friday  in the Activities Office, after school only from 3-3:30 pm. 

 

DONS…Need to make some cash?  Then consider selling those valuable items you don’t use anymore.  El Rancho Trade is coming on Saturday, 4/21 in the cafeteria.  See Mr. Elias, Rojas or Retana for more info.

 

DRAWSTRINGS FOR FOSTER KIDS…Please donate items such as clothes, shoes school supplies to one of our groups boxes in rooms L-2, J-1, Y-6, N-4, Y-4, 0-3, C-4, A-201, J-4, X-5.  They will be given to students in drawstring bags.  Questions see Ms. Aguilar.

 

ERUSD Evening of the Arts…..You're invited to join us for the first annual Evening of the Arts Visual and Performing Arts Showcase. The evening will feature Folklórico and Mariachi performances, as well as a variety of student art and photography submissions. All members of the community are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be sold by the El Rancho High School band boosters with all proceeds benefiting District arts programs and victims of the recent apartment building fire. ATTENTION STUDENTS…The District is offering Athletic Accident Insurance for the 2017/18 school year.  The District has made available for purchase, voluntary student and athletic accident insurance through the Student Insurance Company.  The insurance provides broad coverage for 24-Hour, School-Time, Tackle Football and Extended Dental.  All students participating in interscholastic sports (this includes cheerleaders, mascots, bands, drill teams, etc.) are required by the Education Code to have adequate accident/medical insurance.  District procedures require all medical insurance interscholastic participants to certify accident/medical insurance coverage prior to participation.  For more information please pick up form from the Activities Office.

 

STUDENTS…Please do not use $5.00 bills on the vending machines, refunds will not be issued. 

 

 

CASHIER’S OFFICE HOURS FOR STUDENTS….You may do transactions before school, during lunch and after school until 3:30 pm.  DO NOT COME DURING CLASS TIME OR NUTRITION TO CONDUCT TRANSACTIONS.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS…Non El Rancho Hats are not allowed on campus. It is a violation of the dress code to wear a non-El Rancho hat. Any students who has a hat will have it confiscated and it will only be returned at the end of the school year. Also, skateboards need to be locked during the school day on the skateboard rack that is provided. Students must bring their own locks. Any skateboard not locked will be confiscated and will only be returned when a lock is produced. Thank you for your support in this matter. 

 

JUST A REMINDER ON DRESS CODE…halter, see through blouses or clothing, low necklines, open back tops and tube tops are considered inappropriate. Shorts or skirts which are shorter than mid thigh are considered too short. Printing on clothing that can be deemed offensive is not allowed. If you are found violating dress code you will have to change into school issued attire and the confiscated article of clothing will not be returned until the end of the school year. Repeated violations of dress code may result in suspension.

Attention Seniors….Last Day to purchase an ASB Card for $40.00 and receive the two extra grad tickets is May 25th

 

Attention Seniors…. Outside of Student Services we will have posted the preliminary Graduating list for the Class of 2018.  Please check the list for the spelling of your name as this is how it will appear on your diploma.  This is just a preliminary list, by no means does this confirm your Graduation.  If any corrections need to be made please see Mrs. Baucom at the Student Services desk to make those corrections.  You will only have till Tuesday, April 10th to do so.  Any name changes to your Diploma after April 10th will be at the cost of $40.00 to you.

 

College Signing Day is coming!  To participate turn in copies of all your college acceptance letters of if you’ve chosen community college, turn in your confirmation to the College Career Center by Friday, April 20th.  Each document submitted will give you a ticket to win great prizes like gift cards, laptop, printer or even a mini refrigerator; all things you’ll need as a college student.

 

2018 ARMS WIDE OPEN AWARD…..This scholarship is open for any student who has the desire to pursue higher education. All 2 and4 year degree college applicants are welcome to apply. We welcome students of all backgrounds and ethnicities. 2.0 GPA Requirement with no F’s D’s or U’s in Citizenships. Whatever your goals are we want to know and we want to wish you all the success in the world!

 

The El Rancho High School Grad Nite will be held at Six Flags Magic Mountain……Thursday, June 7, 2018. 9:00 pm to 5:00 am.  Tickets go on sale April 3 – April 30 or until SOLD OUT.  Price is $120 for ER Graduate and $125.00 for the guest.  Price includes all you can eat buffet, transportation, music/dance club DJ’s and Grad Pass to go back again and again all of 2018.  If you are bringing a guest you must fill out a guest pass and all graduates must fill out a contract and returned to the Cashier’s Office at the time of ticket purchase.  Download form from the Don Page.   TICKETS ALWAYS SELLOUT…BUY EARLY!!!!

RBA (RIVERA BASEBALL ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP)…Applications are available for the RBA scholarship, you must have played RBA to be considered, pick up application from the Activities Office.

 

BIRNEY ELEMENTARY DADS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP…Did you attend Birney Elementary and have a 3.5 GPA? This scholarship is for you, pick up application from the Activities Office.  Deadline to submit is May 4.
