The Key Club sponsored a one-day blood drive recently. According to club adviser Mr. Sorenson, "We had room for 192 'sign-ups', and over 300 people wanted to give." The mobile truck from Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital (PIH) set up near the main gym at about 9am and stayed until 3pm. Donors received a t-shirt. A hospital representative said that PIH holds blood drives at about eight high schools per month. When giving blood, it is important to eat a healthy breakfast beforehand and to drink fluids afterward. Donors must be at least 16 years old and weight at least 110 lbs. They also may not have acquired a tatoo or piercing within the last 12 months. Donations can be made once every 56 days.
