Over 300 students participated in Pride Day this year, which was moved from a Saturday morning to a Thursday afternoon activity. Groups of volunteer students cleaned various areas of the campus from 3:15pm to 4:30pm. Targeted areas were mostly indoors—classrooms and such—but some outside areas were done, as well, such as junior Carolina Gomez's assignment: "I stayed after school with Track, and we cleaned up the whole area out there: the grass, the sand pits and the hurdles, the sheds, even under the stadium." Activities Asst. Princial Mr. Rodriguez was full of praise: "I would like to send a special thanks to maintenance workers Mark Montoya and David Narvaez, as well as Ms. Champan and ASB for making this event happen."
