The Santa Anita Race Track was the locale for this year's Prom. The horses were sent to bed, and replacing them were the well-dressed students of El Rancho High School. A DJ provided dance music, and a buffet-style dinner was available for any hungry revelers. Valerie Morales and Adrian Torres were crowned Queen and King. Senior Jose Arrioja raved about his night: "I don't know; it was just really great. My date (Joscelyn Cortez) looked beautiful and made the night really fun." Senior Guillermo Tafolla noted, "When they put the Spanish songs on, everyone danced with a lot more enthusiasm." Daniela Conde, also a senior, summarized her night: "The music could have been better, but overall it was fun. I enjoyed the time I spent with Kiara Fafael, Elizabeth Luna, Maria Nunez and Lilian Santillanes."
