Nearly 450 seniors attended the senior picnic this year. The weather began slightly overcast, but quickly turned to sun for the day's many games and activities. Winners of the games received "Class of 2012" T-shirts, but others, if they weren't so skilled in softball, watermelon eating, egg throwing, and the other competitions, could buy a shirt, too. Ronnie Mejia said of the day, "It was nice to get away on a Wednesday and not have to be at school. It was fun hanging out with friends." Isabel Montes de Oca added, "I had fun. Everybody was getting along. We had a water balloon fight. It was probably one of the best memories of the year."
