The Welcome Assembly took place during a 45-minute assembly Friday morning between 1st and 2nd period. The show began with a moment of silence to remember 9/11, followed by the Chorlaeers singing the National Anthem. Afterwards, the energy got going with performances by the band, color guard, and varisty and jv pepsters. Drama did a Character Counts skit, and the seniors won the class-competition relay race. The classes sat with their grade level, and each section took a turn cheering. Judges watched for both positives and negatives as the crowd performed. Overall results were 1st - Seniors, 2nd - Freshmen, 3rd - Juniors and 4th - Sophomores. Next pep rally will be at lunch on Friday, September 23rd.
