Arne Duncan, the United States Secretary of Education, visited the ERHS campus recently. It was part of a California tour in which Mr. Duncan was talking up President Obama's jobs bill. El Rancho was chosen as one of his stops thanks to ERHS Class of 2002 Alumnus, Robert Gomez. Robert currently works in Washington, DC on Mr. Duncan's staff.
