JUST A REMINDER ON DRESS CODE...halter and tube tops are considered inappropriate. Shorts or skirts which are shorter than mid thigh are considered too short. Printing on clothing that can be deemed offensive is not allowed. If you are found violating dress code you will have to change into school issued attire. Repeated violations of dress code may result in suspension.
HEY DONBS...Ready for the King of the Ranch?...Next Thursday and Friday ASB will be having their 2nd annual King of the Ranch in the Little Theater at lunch. 50 cents will get you lots of laughs!

The El Rancho High School Color Guard team will be hosting audition clinics the week of May 21st through Thursday May 24 from 3:30 - 5:30pm for next years team. Please bring clothes to stretch in or your PE clothes.
The Choral Department will be having tryouts for choir on Wednesday May 23rd and 24th. It will begin after school at 3:15.
If you are interested in being apart of this award winning performance group and want to show you Don Pride, then come check out the clinic. Auditions will be held on Wednesday May 30th.

TEEN TALK...Every Thursday from 3:30-5:30 pm in room S-4. Teen Talk gives the opportunity to discuss thoughts, ideas, and concerns about teen life. All students are welcome.

AT ALL TIMES...During the school day, tardy sweep, lunch, at the library, at all athletic events (home and away), at all dances, at any on-campus activity (day or night), at the cashier’s office, when picking up pictures, tickets, cell phones or lost items, any time you are at El Rancho High School or any El Rancho High School function (IN OTHER WORDS, “DON’T LEAVE HOME WITHOU IT!”) FACE SHEETS WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED FOR ANY REASON. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A STUDENT ID, GET A REPLACEMENT TODAY!

18 DAYS OF SCHOOL LEFT – GET YOUR 2012 YEARBOOKS... for $60.00, purchase from the Cashier’s Office, avoid the long lines at the end of the year! Seniors who will be attending the Senior picnic must purchase a yearbook before the picnic to receive at picnic, yearbooks will not be sold at the picnic. Freshman, if you purchased a spirit pack at the beginning of the school year you do not need to purchase a yearbook. Don’t delay!!!
KEEP YOUR GRADES UP...A 2.0 GPA is required for the upcoming activities: Senior Picnic. Don’t be left out, keep those grades up!!!!!
COMPUTER LABS...The computer labs are now open regular hours Monday-Thursday 6:30am-5pm, Fridays 7:30am-3pm.
REMINDER TO STUDENTS...Confiscated devices will be returned to a parent or guardian accompanied by the student. Items will only be returned on Thursday between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Parent must be present no phone calls will be made.
KEEP OUR CAMPUS CLEAN...Throw your trash away and show your blue pride.
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON CAMPUS AT ANY TIME: skateboards, team jersey/shirt, bare mid-drift, oversized shorts or pants. spaghetti straps and strapless tops. BEANIES AND HATS THAT DO NOT DISPLAY THE ER LOGO MUST BE PLACED IN YOUR BACKPACK OR THEY WILL BE CONFISCATED AND NOT RETURNED. Be mindful of the dress code and dress appropriately. Please be aware that cell phones, MP3, IPOD and CD players are not to be seen or used at ANY TIME while on campus or they may be confiscated and ONLY returned to your parents on Thursdays 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Senior Picnic – Wednesday, June 6, $26. Tickets go on sale May 21. Price includes
round-trip transportation (no private cars), a delicious lunch, and many games and
prizes. Permission slips may be obtained from the ER Don Page and must be signed by all
teachers & Ms. Madera, student and student’s parent before purchasing ticket. Bring
your yearbook receipt. Meet behind on the south service road by 8 a.m. We will return
by the end of the school day. Bring $10 for a Senior T-shirt, in case you do not win one. If
you do not attend the picnic you are expected to be in school on Wednesday or you will
not receive your commencement tickets. Report to the cafeteria, for your English,
Government and/or Economic classes. Roll will be taken in all of your classes. Last day to
purchase tickets is 6/1. (There will be assigned busses to Senior Picnic and Grad Nite. If
you wish to sit with your friends, buy your tickets at the same time.)

SENIORS ATTENDING COMMUNITY COLLEGE...This is your final opportunity to submit a GPA Verification form to apply for Cal Grant. Stop by the College/Career Center today.
Don’t forget to check your fines at the Cashier’s Office. Fines must be cleared to attend Senior Picnic, Grad Night, to get your commencement tickets and diploma. DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE, CHECK YOUR FINES TODAY!!!
